Biography
Ryan is in his 16th year teaching Adapted Physical Education (APE) at East Noble School Corporation. He's been coaching Unified sports for eight years since the start of Unified Track & Field. He currently coaches six Unified sports at ENSC: Flag Football, Bocce, Bowling, Track, Basketball, and eSports. Along with coaching Unified sports, he is the Unified Sports Coordinator for athletes that join other sports teams, wrestling, gymnastics, cheerleading, etc.
Ryan is married to Laura Pepple who happens to be the Special Olympics Noble County Coordinator. With her involvement, Ryan naturally is also involved with the county program by coaching corn toss, basketball and is a member of the County Management Team.
Ryan has been awarded for his dedication to his students over the years. He won the 2014 AWS Award for Contributions for Individuals with Special Needs, was named 2017 ENHS Teacher of the Year as well as the 2017 ENSC Teacher of the Year, won the 2018 Unified Spirit Coaches Award, and finally, the 2019 INSHAPE Adapted PE Teacher of the Year.
Ryan enjoys spending time with his wife, Laura, and two dogs, Chet and Wanda. Wanda is a service dog from Canine Companions for Independence (CCI). Wanda goes to school with him every day. Most people like Wanda more than Ryan and he's okay with that! :) He also enjoys golf, fishing, and woodworking in his spare time.
Ryan loves what he does and loves his students. If you do something you love, you won't have to work a day in your life. Ryan hasn't worked in 16 years.
